Childcare and Preschool in Chepstow

Oaks Park Montessori aims to provide the best Early Years childcare and education for babies, toddlers and preschool children in the Chepstow area, on the border of Gloucestershire and Monmouthshire. Our childcare setting offers the best aspects of a childminder service and a main stream nursery, combining the home from home and intimate atmosphere of a childminder service with the reliability and facilities of a mainstream nursery. When you visit Oaks Park Montessori you will see that our baby/toddler and preschool rooms are beautifully designed with age appropriate furniture and equipment. You will also see the extensive childminder, nursery nurse, preschool teacher and parental experience of our childcare team and how they care for and engage young children. This childcare service is based on a beautiful large acreage property with lawn, forest and some of the best views over of rural Chepstow and the river Severn.

Give your child the best of a childminder and a nursery setting

When your child start's at Oaks Park Montessori a settling in review is conducted with you the parent and your child will be gently introduced to the setting through a set of tapered settling in sessions with their assigned key person. During your child's time with us you can expect them to have the highest levels of care and education, including child-led learning, a full suite of Montessori development equipment and a curriculum biased towards outdoor activities. Children learn through play and engagement in activities that are of genuine interest to them. At Oaks Park we give children the space and time to play and explore - to be children. Our approach fosters independence and a life-long love of learning - characteristics that will support children when they start school and beyond. At Oaks Park we aim to provide an environment where children are stimulated yet relaxed - where they can learn through play and exploration. We nurture the growth of the whole child, paying equal attention to cognitive, physical, emotional and social development, with the intent set them up to succeed at school - both academically and socially. In terms of food, we provide 5 home-prepared meals per day, including a cooked lunch, inline with the Children's Food Trust guidelines.

Have outstanding childcare that is convenient and transparent

We acknowledge the time demands on busy parents and understand the value in selecting a comprehensive and easy to engage childcare solution. We have designed our childcare service to maximise parent confidence and minimise daily preparation. Our all inclusive service is popular among parents ensuring time at home is with your child not preparing for the next day at nursery. We provide everything except your child for 51 weeks of the year, from 8am to 6pm, on a full day service basis for children, from 3 months to 5 years. The majority of our staff are parents themselves. At drop-off and collection, we support new parents with suggestions and ideas and at collections we provide a review of your child's day. We also use electronic learning journals for each child, which are accessible by parents through a parent portal so you can follow your child's development. The team also provide a monthly newsletter, a calendar of family events and annual parents evening, to ensure that you are informed, included and involved.
